General Questions
You can now buy wine directly through our website. But we still like seeing your faces and hearing your melodic voices (can you blame us?). We're always happy to take orders via email at thirsty@hermanstorywines.com, or phone at 805.237.2400. Operators are standing by.
Our tasting room is currently OPEN seven days a week, from 11am-5pm on Thursday through Monday, and 11am-4pm on Tuesday and Wednesday. Just waltz on in. No appointment or formalities necessary.
Find us at 1227 Paso Robles Street, in beautiful Paso Robles, California. Located between a tire shop and a welding supply store, just east of downtown.
As long as you can put up with our jokes (the current record is seven months, and counting). But typically, they last around 45 minutes. We offer seated tastings at our outdoor picnic tables, or standing tastings inside our cellar, depending on your party size and staffing.
You sure can. We always say the more the merrier, unless we’re talking spiders. Don’t bring spiders. Just call us and we’ll schedule your party for a tasting.
He's here often, but sometimes out at the vineyard, or sometimes off slinging wine somewhere. Hard knowin'.
Wine Club Questions
As a family business, every aspect is managed in house, and everyone here has a hand in everything—from bringing the wine from the barrel to the bottle, to waxing each individual bottle by hand, to packing the boxes for shipping. This process takes time, but we do our best to get your wine in your hands within a month or so of charging your card. As always, call us with any questions.
For a spring or fall wine club shipment, we aim to ship in early April or early October (weather dependent). More specific details will be in the wine club release email.
For all other wine orders, we ship on Mondays unless otherwise arranged. You will receive an email from the shipper with a tracking number when your package is picked up from the winery.
Ah, the old “this wine is so good, if I don't get it soon, I might run screaming through the nearest Chili's parking lot” conundrum. We’ve been there, and we’ve got solutions, like various ice packs and expedited shipping for great rates, that can keep your bottles safe during transit. Just drop us a line and we’ll figure out the best way to ship them ASAP.

Some might call the infamous tour our band of misfits' unfulfilled dream of joining a traveling circus. We build our route and schedule based on your interest. We're currently dreaming up our next tour - is hosting a Herman Story rager on your vision board? If you're crazy enough to invite us to your home, email us with the subject line "hey...you up?"
What YOU provide:
- A venue where we can park a tour bus for the duration of the event, pour wine with abandon, and have free rein to party down (we’ll keep all load-bearing walls intact, we swear)
- 100 of your wine-guzzling friends to have such a bang-up time, they’ll insist on stockpiling Herman Story wines and joining our ridiculously good-looking wine club family
- Food (we love a potluck!)
